It was hats off to heroes at Denise Rich’s annual Denim & Diamonds party at Planet Hollywood. The Western denim and jeweled throng bid on baubles like a $45,000 yellow diamond necklace, with all proceeds heading to the Widows of Firemen Fund (to the tune of $200,000!) and the G&P Foundation for Cancer Research. Guests like Star Jones, Natalie Cole, Ivana Trump, and A La Maison’s Helene Benhamou kicked up their boots when Sister Sledge performed “We Are Family.” Quite a few society ladies leapt from their seats to the dance floor—straight to some quite hunky firemen…talk about climbing ladders!
