Cindy Adams signs her bestseller, The Gift of Jazzy

Some of Manhattan’s poshest pooches pulled their style-conscious owners over to Saks Fifth Avenue for “Jazzy on Fifth,” the first New York Doggy Street Fair for our city’s trendiest pets and owners. The outdoor event celebrated the launch of the Post’s gossip columnist extraordinaire Cindy Adams’ Jazzy Couture, which is a chic collection of canine apparel and fashion accessories. The scene sprawled with clowns, balloons, street performers, pet portrait artists, carnival food, and street vendors selling various collection items. Proceeds went to the ASPCA.

Cindy signed copies of her national best seller The Gift of Jazzy, which journals the love between the Queen of Gossip and her precious pet, the late “Jazzy.”

“I loved him more than anything in the world!” she said. “He was my world.”

Among the canine fans approaching Cindy for autographs was late-night adult cable TV’s Robin Byrd, holding up a copy of the book and a Yorkie of her own. When Cindy caught sight of her, she exclaimed, “Oh, it’s Robin! I didn’t even recognize you with your clothes on!”

The sad death of Cindy’s fondest inspiration leaves a void in her life that truly can’t be replaced. Nevertheless, love has sprung anew with the arrival of her adorable “Jazzy Jr.”

Behold, a new generation of doggie legacy has begun!
