The Sheet celebrated its third anniversary bash and Jedell's photo exhibit "Chronicles of New York 2000" at the elegant East Hampton's Maidstone Arms. Many of the A-throng did some hardcore schmoozing while chef extraordinaire Bill Valentine whipped up fab hors d'oeuvres—like assorted palmieres, crab cakes with creole remoulade, spicy shrimp with scallion dumplings, smoked salmon on brioche—all washed down with Perrier-Jouet, Mezzaluna blue martinis, Wolffer Estate wines, and Mount Gay rum punch. Among the hot shots: heavy-duty politicos Mark Green, Bill Bratton, and Herman Badillo. And Betsy McCaughey seemed thrilled to be around the big boys once again. Other schmoozers included Beth Rudin DeWoody, Court TV's Rikki Klieman, Neal and Tolly Travis, Julie Hayek, Rona Jaffe, Lisa Herbert, Jay Severin, Dawn Zimmerman and John Hummel, Lisa Gastineau, Andrew Tilberis, and Dr. Howard Sobel, who recently launched his Skin and Spa Cosmetic Surgery Center on Park Avenue.
