Escada unveiled its Spring/Summer 2001 collection during their first U.S. runway show from Munich at Pier 92. Celeb divas included Paulina Porizkova, Raquel Welch, Natalie Cole, Jane Seymour, and Patti LaBelle. Following the show, G&P Foundation co-founder Denise Rich and Escada head honcho Wolfgang Ley hosted a very private dinner for G&P supporters, including Goldie Hawn who popped in and out after feeling harassed by the press—who grilled her about the rumored split with longtime live-in Kurt Russell. "It's not true!" Hawn proclaimed.
