Allen Brill (CEO Rolex USA),
Princess Yasmin Aga Khan

All that glitters is not gold, but all that sparkles is silver. At least that was the case at this year’s Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala—themed After 25 years ... A Sparkling Silver Celebration. Underwritten by Rolex and Allen Brill, the event held at the Waldorf, raised over $2 mil for Alzheimer’s care. Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, known as “Yazzie” to her friends, established the Gala in memory of her mother, Rita Hayworth, who suffered from the disease for many years before her death in 1987.

Lily Safra, the Hearst Corporation, and Frank Bennack Jr. were honored among the glitterati which included Muffie Potter Aston, Donna Dixon Aykroyd, Susan and John Hess, Andrea and John Stark, Dennis Basso, Nancy Corzine and Mark Locks, Joy and Regis Philbin, Karyn Kornfeld, Lady Liliana Cavendish, Barbara and Donald Tober, Debbie Bancroft, Deborah Norville, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Donna and Dick Soloway, Vera Wang, Hilary and Bryant Gumbel, and Charlene and Jimmy Nederlander. All raised their glass to the legendary Hayworth, in celebration of her life and legacy, and to hope for the future in wiping out this terrible disease.
