Everything old is new again ... that can be said for the glamorous, sophisticated launch of The Park Room, in the venerable Park Lane Hotel. World-famous as the former home of Harry and Leona Helmsley, this slumbering beauty was recently kissed awake by a multi-million-dollar makeover. Its most breathtaking feature is the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Central Park, giving the feel of being inside an atrium.


Soaring views, and a new menu to match, delighted recent visitors at a Louis Roederer champagne dinner, to kick off the new space. Executive Chef Mike Hill created magic cuisine paired exquisitely with champagne for every course. The four courses were divine, but the pièce de résistance was the finale: a rhubarb-strawberry soup with a chocolate paté, accompanied by the finest Cristal vintage.
