Nestled in the museum arboretum, summer pavilions sheltered 400+ polished celebrants for the Parrish Art Museum’s Midsummer Gala (which is, of course, the museum’s most vital fund-raiser). This oh-so-social affair, peopled with vividly radiant Hamptonites, gathered in a single tent, with the younger set sparkling in another. (There was plenty of cradle-robbing in between, however!)
Diamondaire Martin Katz of Beverly Hills and Mad Avenue, one of the principal event sponsors, delivered a truckload of Hollywood Glamour with his resplendent couture and vintage diamond jewelry collection. Lucky guests Lee and John Gottleiber went home with the Martin Katz diamond right hand ring!
Among the many gyrating on the dance floor were Martin Katz, Pamela Fiori, Mark Badgley, James Mischka, Vera Wang, Nicole Miller, David Yurman, Plum Sykes, Carroll Petrie, Jan Cowles, Geoffrey Bradfield, Roberto and Joanne de Guardiola, Jonathan and Somers Farkas, Duane Hampton, Larry and Denise Wohl, Andrea Stark, Eric Fischl and April Gornik—all obviously blinded by the diamond light!
