Molly Ringwald, no longer Pretty In Pink, celebrated with her castmates at the enchanting After-Party for Enchanted April held at Pier 60. Ringwald, fresh from her performance as the happy-go-lucky Sally Bowles in Cabaret, leads a distinguished Broadway cast, including Elizabeth Ashley, Patricia Conolly, Jayne Atkinson, Dagmara Dominczyk, Daniel Gerroll, Michael Cumpsty, and Michael Hayden. The Belasco Theater overflowed with the celebrated Mia Farrow, David Dinkins, Ruby Dee, Cherry Jones, Walter Cronkite, LeRoy Neiman, Lou Reed, Chris Noth, Monica Lewinsky, and Phylicia Rashad, turning out to see the flaming redhead conquer the stage again.
The play traces the adventures of four odd English women staying together at a Tuscan villa. The romantic comedy was associate producer Tonja Walker Davidson’s first producing job. Aside from working behind the scenes, Walker Davidson’s no stranger when it comes to the spotlight, for she appears regularly in One Life to Live. Talk about people who live an enchanted life!
