Couric hosted the third annual "Tomorrow is Tonight"
dinner and auction at the downtown Metropolitan Pavilion
to benefit Project ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), founded
by TV producer Jennifer Estes in 1998. Guests on hand
to lend support included hot-and-heavy Ethan Hawke
and Uma Thurman, Julianna Marguiles, and Diane Sawyer.
