Even the Sugar Plum Fairy would have been envious of guests at “Candyland,” The Make-a-Wish Foundation’s party at Mar-a-Lago touted as “the sweetest event you will ever attend.” Co-chairpersons Lori Bernstein and Andrea Kosoy hit the sweet-spot with attendees like John Demsey, Jeff Furman, Lora Foster, Carlo and Tina Bilotti, Jeff and Allison Rubin, Robert and Shirley Wyner, Paul Moskowitz, David and Stacey Shapiro, and Kimberly Antler. The event sported a cotton-candy cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, and performance artists, not to mention decadent desserts: ice cream sundaes galore and special Golden Ticket Surprises. (Eat your heart out Willie Wonka!) All this candy-coated fun benefited children with life-threatening illnesses who simply want one special wish. Lori and Andrea summed it up best with their rhyme, “Gumdrops & Lollipops, chocolates galore, those who have helped us, we truly adore!”
