Roseanne Barr struts her stuff

Lane Bryant has become known for strutting their stuff in an over-the-top, overflowing manner. But this year, with a theme of “The Grand Cabaret” the intimate apparel runway presentation was a production of, shall we say, mighty proportions! The show was emceed by Roseanne Barr, who proudly proclaimed, “I am the Queen of all fat people!” The raucous crowd watched what was billed as a “European cabaret-style show,” featuring six separate vignettes of music, dance and fashion for a truly theatrical experience. Flaunting their sturdy stuff down the runway at the Manhattan Center were Mia Tyler (daughter of rocker Steven Tyler), Kim Coles, and Kate Dillon, all clad in Lane Bryant’s lingerie and sportswear.

The show’s finale was a performance by Kelly Osbourne, the very antithesis of the catwalk waif, singing her remake of Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach.” Hip, hip hooray to Lane Bryant’s over-indulgence! We look forward to next year’s even hotter heaping helpings!
