Katherine Heigl was honored with the ASPCA Presidential Service Award at the Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball, held at the Plaza.

The black-tie gala draws a passionate crowd of animal lovers who
come to dine and dance in support of the ASPCA’s mission to “provide
effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout
the United States.”

The emcee was Isaac Mizrahi, and Hugh Hildesley of Sotheby’s served
as auctioneer. Chairs and guests included Laura and Keith Barket,
Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Margo MacNabb Nederlander and James
Nederlander, Kim White and Kurt Wolfgruber, Ben and Elke Gazzara,
Cornelia and Marty Bregman, Ellen and Chuck Scarborough, Rick
Friedberg and Francine LeFrak, Cynthia and Dan Lufkin, Caroll Petrie,
Maggie Rizer, and Daryl and Steven Roth.

This year’s theme was “Animal House,” but this was no beer-swilling
frat party. The elegantly coiffed guests, which included some decked
out doggies, were extremely well behaved.
