Elton John, Bette Midler

Talk about a gala that was hot, hot, hot! The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), founded in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder was hosted by Elizabeth Hurley and celebrated its 16th anniversary and a decade in concert with Sir Elton John at its annual The Hot Pink Party benefit. The Waldorf was filled with fuchsia-colored gowns, as a multitude of celebs milled about the room including Marcia Gay Harden, Diane Neal (Law & Order: SUV), Julie Benz (Showtime’s Dexter, star of the new ABC show No Ordinary Family), Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, ballroom dancer Karina Smirnoff (Dancing with the Stars), fashion designers Donna Karan and Vera Wang, Bette Midler, and Estee Lauder spokesmodel Hilary Rhoda.

Over 900 attendees, raising more than $4 mil, included co-chairs Evelyn and Leonard Lauder, Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, Bonnie Roche- Bronfman and Charles Bronfman, Marjorie Reed Gordon, Michael Kors, Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder, Jane Lauder, Jeanne and Herbert Siegel, Cynthia and Dan Lufkin, Ingrid Sischy and Sandra Brant, Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch, and Vera Wang.

Elton John serenaded the crowd and ensured that the foundation, as well as this gathering of A-listers, stayed “in the pink.”
