Extraordinary New Yorkers flocked to The Plaza as Liz Smith and Pete Peterson co-hosted the New York Landmarks Conservancy's 18th annual Living Landmarks Cele- bration. Katie Couric and Rex Reed presented awards to honorees Regis Philbin, philanthropist Lewis Cullman, theater historian Louise Kerz Hirschfeld, legendary actress Angela Lansbury, and renowned restaurateur Danny Meyer. Former NYC Mayor David Dinkins received the Lew Rudin Living Landmark Award for Public Service.
Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch served as honorary co-chairs for the evening, which included guests Mica Ertegun, Barbara Goldsmith, Agnes Gund, Police Commish Ray Kelly, Philippe de Montebello, Bunny Williams, Francine
du Plessix Gray, Tommy Tune, Robert Osborne, and Baroness Mariuccia Zerilli-Marimò.
