The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) celebratedits fifth anniversary at a private reception at the home of Jodie and John Eastman. Attendees included Lorne Michaels, Alec Baldwin, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Jo Carole Lauder, Julian Robertson Jr., Carl Spielvogel and Barbaralee Diamonstein Spielvogel, Robert A.M. Stern, Bette-Ann Gwathmey, Katama Eastman, John and Amy Griffin, Susan and Alan Patricof, and Dick Oldenburg. Drs. Kevin Eggan and Darja Marolt, and Susan L. Solomon (NYSCF’s Chief Executive Officer) gave guests a brief update on advances in stem cell research. The foundation conducts cutting-edge research to accelerate cures for debilitating diseases, and plays a vital role in educating the public about its advancement.
