Laurie Anderson

Guests arrived in black and white as they attended the sold-out LongHouse Reserve’s annual Summer Gala at its beautiful East Hampton sculpture garden. The event honored creative pioneer Laurie Anderson and arts patron Jan Crowels—two women who live outside any traditional boundaries.

Notable attendees including Edward Albee, Jan Cowles, Edwina von Gal, Angela Mariana Freyre, Lisa de Kooning, Jack Lenor Larsen, Eric Fischl and April Gornik, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Fern Mallis, Maria Pessino, Annaliese Soros, Bobby Taylor, Lou Reed, and Robert Wilson enjoyed Anderson’s special performance of The Boat I Had As A Child.

The Reserve exemplifies the importance of living with art in all forms.
