Working within an 11-ft.-by-11-ft. space, many of the design industry's top artists were given a round table and ten chairs and told to let their creative talent loose at Elle Décor's Dining by Design, held at East Hampton Studios. The annual fundraiser, dubbed the "Cannes of tabletop," was presented by GE and benefited the Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA). Among some of the designers: Nicole Miller, Margaret Russell for Elle Décor, Ralph Lauren, Reed Krakoff for Coach, Robert Rufino for Tiffany, Laura Day for Home Depot, and Ron Wendt for Cartier. We were invited to share a delicious dinner at Jaci and Morris Reid's beautiful Libby Langdon-created table decorated with blossoming flowers and crystal butterflies. After dinner and dessert, A-listers hit the dance floor and let their hair down. Those shakin' it up: Olivia Chantecaille, Lydia Hearst, Star Jones Reynolds, Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict, Nina Garcia, Tinsley Mortimer, Jana Water's Eric Wahl, Zac Posen, Alexia Kondylis, Fern Mallis, and Douglas Hannant.
