Julie Andrews with daughter Emma Walton

Sizzling hot entertainment and a knock-out auction were the talk of the evening at the Siena Spirituality Center in Water Mill for the Bay Street Theatre's annual Summer Gala Benefit Bash. In keeping with an Argentine theme, tango dancers from the international dance spectacular, Forever Tango, elegantly glided across the dance floor under the colorfully decorated dinner tent. Guests also enjoyed performances from the talent of Broadway Direct, including Anne Runolfsson (Phantom of the Opera), Brigid Brady (Phantom of the Opera), and Adam Heller (Caroline, or Change).

Alec Baldwin was the auctioneer for the live "Fantasy" auction, in which Julie Andrews modeled a stunning $44,300 watch from Harry Winston-the lucky bid went to Michael and Iris Smith for $30,000! At one point in the auction, Baldwin was even prepared to strip down to his birthday suit and take a swim if it would raise an additional $25,000-surprisingly no one took the handsome actor up on his offer! Among the notables: Emcee John McDaniel (formerly of the Rosie O'Donnell Show), Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook, Pia Lindstrom and Jack Carley, Connie Collins, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Tony Walton and Gen LeRoy, Dick Grasso, Sidney Lumet, Robert Zimmerman, Pat Malloy, Marty Richards, Mercedes Ruehl, Amb. Jean Kennedy Smith, B. Smith and Dan Gasby, Col Allan, Eli Wallach and Anne Jackson, and Andrew Sabin.
