Manhattan's hip, trendy, and outlandish poured into the Meatpacking District's hot new club NA (formerly Nell's) for the after-party of the NYC premiere of the John Waters' flick, A Dirty Shame, hosted by New Line Features and Paper magazine. Waters, dubbed the "Pope of Trash," who became a cult leg-end with his 1972 film Pink Flamingos, will not disappoint his fans with this off-color, NC-17 (pervasive sexual content) film about the invasion of small-town America by an army of sex addicts (afflicted with this pathology through assorted head injuries).
Described by one after-party guest as "completely filthy," the movie boasts a stand-out cast, including: Tracey Ullman, Johnny Knoxville, Chris Isaak, and Waters' film regular Mink Stole.
Additional Shame cast members seen carousing through the shameless saturnalia at NA: Patricia Hearst (with daughter Gillian Hearst-Shaw), Selma Blair, and Jackie Hoffman. Other guests included: Isaac Mizrahi; New Line Cinema's Michael Lynne; Claire Danes; Gretchen Mol; Boy George; NYC's most legendary drag queen, DJ Lady Bunny; fashionista Patrick McDonald; and unsuspecting party-crasher Geraldo Rivera and wife, Erica (who arrived for a quiet drink, unaware of the festivities in progress, and got more than they bargained for-including nude glitter dancers onstage!). It's a dirty shame!
