Regis and Joy Philbin with Larry David

Celebs, TV enthusiasts, and die-hard Larry David fanatics gathered at the Time Warner Building for the outrageously hilarious season premiere of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. Susie Essman and Jeff Garlin were on hand to share the special occasion. Guests at the private screening included Regis Philbin, Kenneth Cole, Joy Behar, Dan Abrams, Bobby Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines (rumored to be dating), Paul Haggis, Russell Simmons, Rachel Roy, and Anna Gasteyer.
When asked if Larry is as neurotic as he portrays himself to be on the show, he told Hampton Sheet, "Much more so." As for seeing a bit of Wood Allen in himself, he answered, "I'm not nearly as talented or introspective." He also touched on his work by agreeing that his material comes from his own self examination, "plus some."
He then went on to talk about his issues with food. "Well, I like to stay healthy and I like to eat good food. I think it's important. I'm trying to stay alive rather than die, and I feel that diet would be helpful in that regard." His take on marriage? The unattached comedian said, "No, I don't like to be married. Most people that are married don't really like it, but they put on a good show."
And how did he get over his fear of becoming homeless? "I earned a lot of money!"
The excitement then moved to Porter House, where chef/owner Michael Lomonaco prepared a succulent, over-the-top sit-down dinner.
