Glamour Alert! The cosmetic world was celebrated exactly how it should be, here in New York City—with elegance, class and prestige. The Fragrance Foundation presented the Fifi Awards, recognizing the industry’s captains—L’Oreal, Coty, P&G, The Estee Lauder Companies, Christian Dior and Chanel—for their admirable aromas.
Celebrity guests including Harry and Laura Slatkin, American Idol judge Randy Jackson, Saffron Burrows, Tinsley Mortimer, Top Chef Judge Gail Simmons, Kim Kardashian, and Leelee Sobieski strutted their stuff on the red carpet. Multi-platinum recording artist, Usher, said “O-M-G,” as he took the title as Male Fragrance Celebrity of the Year. Designer Michael Kors did not leave empty-handed either, taking the Foundation’s Hall of Fame Award with him.
Thanks to the Foundation’s generosity, the evening added glamour to the act of giving back. Both the Breast Cancer Research and New Look Foundations were directly benefited, as guests enjoyed a dazzling black-tie evening.
