Leonard Lauder presented Elizabeth Hurley with the Humanitarian Award from The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, founded in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder, at the BCRF Symposium and Awards Luncheon at the Waldorf. Hurley was honored for her role in raising global awareness of breast cancer.
This see-and-be-seen event started with a symposium, featuring a panel of six of the world’s leading breast cancer experts.
Nearly 1,100 guests attended the luncheon, which raised over $2 mil.
Grants of nearly $28.5 mil were awarded to 173 scientists worldwide. No matter what happens with the country’s health care plan, women can be assured that The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will continue to fund critical life-saving research. |
