Stars and supporters—including special guests Matthew Reeve, Alexandra Reeve Givens, Will Reeve, Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jane Krakowski—gathered at the Marriot Marquis for a night of dinner and dancing at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s 19th annual A Magical Evening Gala.
The event honored and raised funds for the 1.275 million American families affected by spinal cord injury. In the mix: David Blaine, Carolyn Rhea, Susan Sarandon, Francine LeFrak and Rick Friedberg, Miss USA Kristen Dalton, Chie Imai, Jimmy and Margo Nederlander, Victoria Secret model Selta Ebanks, Dick and Donna Soloway, and Mark O’Donnell with partner Jim McGreevy. Pop sensation Colbie Caillat treated guests to a surprise performance.
The highlight of the successful evening, which raised $1mil, was the unveiling of a new high-tech wheelchair-accessible bike built specially for the Foundation by Paul Teutul Sr. (TLC’s American Chopper). |
