His Imperial Highness, Prince Charles Napoleon, Gillian Fuller, Barbara de Portago (vice president of the Versailles-Giverny Foundation), Susan Fales-Hill

History was in the making at the Versailles-Giverny Foundation luncheon—in the presence of His Imperial Highness, Prince Charles Napoleon—held at the Pierre. Barbara de Portago and Florence Van der Kemp chaired the elegant event, which benefited the restoration of the breathtaking Grove of Apollo Baths at the Château de Versailles.
The Prince, who happens to be the great-great-great-grandnephew of the notorious Emperor Napoleon, greeted guests in a formal receiving line before they entered the lavish Cotillion Room for a feast of salmon and watercress terrine and chicken and caper remoulade. Beautiful iron Napoleonic wreaths by Kassidy Choi Schagrin adorned the centerpieces, and were available for purchase.
Guests were given the royal treatment as they were escorted arm-in-arm by the cadets of the Valley Forge Military Academy and College and treated to a speech given by the Prince himself.
Royal revelers: Lynn Wyatt, Jonathan Farkas, Sabrina and Carl Forsythe, Carole Holmes, Andrea Stark, CeCe Black, Dame Jillian Sackler, Victoria Wyman, Cynthia Maltese, Denise Wohl, John Punnett, Raul Suarez, Lucia Hwong Gordon, and Gillian Fuller.
