Sirio Maccioni with Woody Allen

A potpourri of NYC power players gathered at the return of the famed Le Cirque. The highly anticipated grand opening was crammed with a star-studded crowd of nearly 2,000, as legendary restaurateur Sirio Maccioni opened his new 16,000-square-foot restaurant at the new Bloomberg Building on East 58th Street. The place was packed inside and out, upstairs and downstairs, as New York’s well-healed rubbed elbows and sipped cocktails while schmoozing throughout the restaurant. Bold names included: Donald and Melania Trump, Billy Joel, Tony Bennett, Joan Rivers, Walter Cronkite, Ed Koch, Mayor Bloomberg, among many other celebs. We were invited to the kitchen for a special VIP sampling of executive chef Pierre Schaedelin’s delectable hors d’oeuvres, which we shared with Woody Allen, his wife Soon Yi, and Martha Stewart, who very much approved of the gourmet treats.

Le Cirque was truly a circus on this who’s who of a magical evening!
