The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation held its annual Bal du Printemps event at The Pierre, where the emcee, NBC sports anchor Len Berman, led the crowd in honoring Dr. Stanley Fahn of Columbia University with the Page and William Black Humanitarian Award. Also acknowledged was multi-talented musician Lukas Foss, who received the Inaugural Isobel Robins Konecky Creativity Award. Foss then played Chopin’s Nocturne in B major to a captivated A-list crowd, including: Dr. Judith Sulzberger, Dr. Karen Burke Goulandris, John and Margo Catsimatidis, and Alan “Ace” Greenberg. PDF chairman and founder Page Morton Black (Choc Full o’ Nuts songstress and widow of Nuts creator William Black) was unable to attend the event, but addressed the attendees via video, singing a special song to the crowd (“A Little Bit of Giving” by Eddie Tone) as she does every year.

In addition to enlightening speeches on the disorder, the soiree featured a live band and a night of dancing.

Just what the doctor ordered!
