Mayor Bloomberg gave a special presentation that delighted the crowd at the Guardian Angels celebra-tion of 27 years of dedication to safety. The event honored Donna and Dick Soloway (NAPCO Security Systems, Inc.) and was emceed by WABC talk host Mark Simone at Cipriani’s 42nd Street. This formerly grass-roots organization, founded in 1979 by Curtis Sliwa, has grown to a global enterprise and is a model worldwide for safety education among civilians.

Award recipients included Fox News personality Sean Hannity of Hannity & Colmes fame, Samsung’s Peter Weedfald, Meow Mix’s Richard Thompson, and jeweler Kristen Thompson.
