Adventurous guests were invited to the Southampton home of Carol Press and Jeff Furman for a night of music, dancing, good food and drink, and a live demonstration of the new, state-of-the-art videoconference service TeVue, aka TeleFone TV. The service provides unlimited free video/audio calls of TV-broadcast quality, caller ID, phonebook storage, and speed dialing. Simply plug one cord into an electrical socket, plug another into a TV or computer monitor, and then connect via a cable modem, T1 line, or DSL. Privacy and mute buttons permit you to be heard but not seen, or seen but not heard! It was a high-tech “scene or be seen” evening!
