Dominick Dunne

Maury Povich and Connie Chung, Joy and Regis Philbin, Mickey Sherman (preparing for the upcoming Skakel case appeal), Court TV CEO Henry Schleiff, and anchors Rikki Klieman, Catherine Crier, and Nancy Grace turned up at Astra to welcome Dominick Dunne’s new weekly series Power, Privilege, and Justice to the channel. Schleiff proclaimed, “What’s so special about Dominick is his energy, vigor, and unbridled passion. He’s black or white—but he’s never ever gray. In his series he exposes the darker side of wealth and power.” Few people know that Dunne started off his TV career giving actors their cues on The Howdy Doody Show. “Look at me now,” he says. “I’m back in television, only this time I’m on it!”

Despite Dunne’s verbal lashing on the Skakel case, there’s no bad blood between him and Sherman. Says Dunne: “I’m against everything he believes in—but I really like the guy! This is the verdict I wish my daughter’s murderer got.” On the guilty verdict shocker, Sherman told The Sheet that Skakel is doing okay behind bars.
