Martin Zweig, Queen Noor, Barbara Zweig

A-listers flocked to the American Cancer Society’s annual spring gala at the Pierre for the aptly titled tribute, “New York, New York … It’s a Helluva Town!” This year’s honorees: Queen Noor of Jordan and Barbara and Martin Zweig. When The Sheet caught up with Noor to get the scoop on the designer of her ultra-chic black suit, the modest royal replied, “Oh, I don’t know. I just threw something together.” Having lost her husband King Hussein to lymphatic cancer, Noor reminded the audience, “Cancer is an equal opportunity enemy—it can strike anyone.” In the A-mix: Libby Pataki, Marvin Hamlisch, CNN’s Paula Zahn, Carroll Petrie, Gigi Benson, NBC’s Felicia Taylor, Hardwick Simmons, Bill Mack, and Joy Rosenthal.
