The seats of the Brooks Atkinson Theatre were over-flowing with celebs and Broadway enthusiasts for the long-anticipated revival of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, starring Matthew Broderick (as the tightly-wound Felix Unger) and Nathan Lane (as the sloppy Oscar Madison). The dynamic duo joined together once again (setting a record in theatre history, for a non-musical, with over $20 mil in advance ticket sales!), following their sold-out Broadway hit, The Producers.
It was a thrilling theatrical evening-the artistry was superb, the actors entertaining, and the after-party at the Marriot Marquis was filled with boldnames, including: Sarah Jessica Parker (Broderick's wife), Showtime CEO Matt Blank, Jerry Seinfeld, Tony Danza, Martin Short, Kathleen Turner, Regis and Joy Philbin, Edgar Bronfman Jr., and Harry Evans and Tina Brown.
There's nothing odd about raking it in!
