Celebs turned out in full force to celebrate Phyllis George’s new read Never Say Never: Ten Lessons to Turn Your Can’t into Yes I Can (McGraw-Hill) at an oh-so-intimate reception at Le Cirque. Kathie Lee Gifford, Marlo Thomas, Joan Collins, Paula Zahn, Mayor Bloomberg, Iris Love, Marianne Strong, Nancy Holmes, Charles Gargano, Regis and Joy Philbin, and Libby Pataki were only a few VIPs on hand at the soiree hosted by Liz Smith, Ann Richards, Joe Armstrong, Jane Rosenthal, Craig Hatkoff, along with McGraw-Hill.

In her miniskirt and chic young do, Kathie Lee chatted with The Sheet and chirped, “My daddy always told me to do what I love and the money would come—and that was true. I did the Regis and Kathie Lee Show till I wasn’t happy anymore. Now I am happy—I spend more time with my children and can wake up in the morning and not have to smile for the tube everyday.” Well, Kathie Lee may have to smile bigtime for Broadway audiences soon—she’s working on a hush-hush show with the Nederlanders.
