In
swell style Hartz Mountain honcho Leonard Stern
and wife Allison hosted an A-mix to celebrate the
opening of their new Tribeca Grand Hotel, the highly
anticipated 203 room sibling of the SOHO Grand Hotel.
In the mix: Don Hewitt, Carroll Petrie, Michael
Gross, Jerry Lefcourt, Lyn Paulsin, Stephanie Krieger
with Brian Stewart, and Phyllis George with beau
New York State Development czar Charles Gargano.
He recently returned from a visit to his birthplace
Sante Angelo de Lombardi, Italy, where he was honored
with a Mass at its restored cathedral. That's because
Gargano raised big bucks to rebuild the town after
an earthquake struck 20 years ago. The Tribeca Grand
reflects Stern's luxury taste for style and living.
