He's an eccentric, brilliant, genuine New York character: He's Michael Musto, and everyone from trendies to trannies, uptown and downtown, showed up at Room Service to celebrate his new book, La Dolce Musto. The book, drawn from his Village Voice writings, cap-tures the magic and charm of the man. MM was the center of attention in a white ruffled Prince Valiant blouse. The vibrant crowd included Amanda Lepore, pouting her way through the evening, and cowboy Village Person Randy Jones, looking as young and vibrant as he did in the '60s … and on and on and on into the wee hours. Representing the uptown set were the sexy and fabulous Ivana Trump and Italian designer-to-the-stars Domenico Vacca, along with his beautiful wife, Julie, while Catherine Saxton kept tabs on the crowd. Everyone enjoyed la dolce Musto and la dolce vita … and lived a little of la vida loca! Rowdy revelers included Joan Rivers, Cindy Adams, Sophia Lamar, Justin Bond, Mariel Hemingway, Patrick McMullan, Michael Lucas, Mickey Boardman, Drew Elliot, David Hershkovits, David Blum, Aimee Phillips, Mike Feuhry, and Ben Widdicombe.
