The glitterati lit up the Plaza for Lighthouse International’s 2009 gala, The Lighthouse Salutes the Arts. Honorees were Mica Ertegun, Marvin Hamlish, and Marc Rosen and Arlene Dahl. WNYW/ Fox 5’s news anchor Ernie Anastos emceed and Joan Rivers was the evening’s auctioneer.

Gala chairs and guests included Katherine Oliver, Mario Buatta, Charles and Clo Cohen, Robert Osborne, Marty Richards, Ben and Elke Gazzara, John and Margo Catsimatidis, Robert Zimmer­man, Geoffrey Bradfield, Muffie Potter Aston, fashion designers Douglas Hannant and Joanna Mastroiannai, Aileen Mehle, Debbie Bancroft, and Amy Fine Collins.
