Every year the Frederick Olmsted Awards Luncheon, hosted by the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy, is the most anticipated oh-so-social event of the spring season. This fabulous party, held in a six-acre garden, is always a fashion knockout, as attendees sport their seasonal finery and, most importantly, their spectacular hats.

And this year’s Hat Luncheon hosted over 1200 guests enjoying the glorious sunny day, the profusion of flowers, and the delectable lunch. The event raised nearly $2.5 mil to support the Conservancy’s work in maintaining and preserving Central Park.

Among the A-listers enjoying the party were Sigourney Weaver, Evelyn Lauder, Martha Stewart, Richard Mishaan, Thorunn Wathne, Michelle Paige Paterson, Silda Wall Spitzer, Deputy Mayor Patti Harris, Karen LeFrak, Fe Fendi, Allison and Tara Rockefeller, Blaine Trump, Susan Fales-Hill, Amy Fine Collins, Eleanora Kennedy, Gail Hilson, and Lally Weymouth.

It was a perfect day for this annual rite of spring, as the park became a sea of swirling dresses and chapeaux aglow.
