It was a battle of the elements when rain met heat during the fourth annual HEAT event, benefiting The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Southampton Hospital. Guests including Katie Couric, Fern Mallis, Edie Falco, Aida Turturro, Aviva Drescher, and Mercedes Ruehl sacrificed their Jimmy Choos and Louboutins to the wet weather as they stomped through mud at Dr. Howard and Gayle Sobel’s Mecox Bay home.

Karine Bakhoum co-hosted, along with chairs Marcy and Michael Warren, and Lauren and Charlie Walk, while Rosanna Scotto MC’d. The benefit also featured fab fare by Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, John Deloach, David Burke, Peter Ambrose, Roxanne Browning, John Villa, Claudia Fleming, Lucy Kazickas, and Kathleen King. The event boasted good food, good company, and good will for a great cause.
