A staggering collection of celebrated designers, artists, actors, and performers came out for The Big Bang Watermill Center benefit on an evening of torrential rain. Those die-hard partygoers included benefit chairs and guests Jay McInerney and Anne Hearst McInerney, Rufus Wainwright, Lou Reed, Charles Renfro, Lisa Perry, Sheikha Paula al Sabah, Henry Buhl, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Tatiana and Campion Platt, Tom Sachs, Simon de Pury, Nicole Miller, Jane Holzer, Alina Cho, and LVMH New York Chairman Renaud Dutreil.

The evening offered dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, as well as performances, art installations, a tribute exhibition for late artist Mike Kelley, and works from the Kandor Project, curated by Harald Falckenberg. The Big Bang did a bang-up job celebrating the artistry and talent alive in New York, as well as supporting the performance and experimental art incubated at the Watermill Center.
