The Police Athletic League held its 39th annual Superstar Dinner at the Pierre honoring John Catsimatidis, chairman and CEO of Red Apple Group, with the Superstar Award. Catsimatidis is known nationwide for his business ventures, and has created new funding opportunities for PAL so that the children of NYC have every chance for productive and happy lives. Honorary chair Joseph Grano Jr., with chairs James Ophanides, Donald Trump, Police Commish Ray Kelly, Maurice Greenberg, Robert Morgenthau, Robert McGuire, John Osborn, and Fred Wilpon, attended the event-raising funds for recreational, cultural, and social activities for over 56,000 boys and girls!
