Guests celebrated the opening of the Barbara Kruger exhibition featuring PLENTY, a site-specific installation in the Museum’s Moran Gallery, along with a video installation in Woodhouse Gallery, and works on loan from private collectors in the Spiga Gallery. The Gala dinner also honored philanthropists Patsy and Jeff Tarr.
The artist’s preview at Guild Hall was followed by libations and dinner under a tent at the oceanfront estate of Bobby and Julie Taubman. During the evening, patrons had the opportunity to bid on original signed art by esteemed East End artists, including Richard Prince, Larry Rivers, and Elizabeth Peyton. Also on the block was a tour of the 30 Rock set. What made it so special was that the tour would personally be given by the one and only Jack Donaghy himself, Alec Baldwin. The evening was sponsored in part by Van Cleef & Arpels, who had models and some special guests wearing the new collections.
