Gov. David Paterson and his wife Michelle, Jenny and John Paulson, and event chair Jean Shafiroff welcomed more than 1,000 guests to Southampton Hospital’s 52nd annual sumer party themed Enchanted Evening. Honorary Chairs included Barclay’s Wealth and Tiffany & Co.

Attendees danced the night away to the music of The Alex Donner Orchestra under a huge tent on Wickapogue Road in Southampton, transformed by the imagination and creativity of Tony Urrutia. It was a record-breaking year—over $1.72 mil was raised to support the hospital.

Highlighting the dinner program was a compelling address by Jenny Paulson, who dedicated the Paulson family’s recent gift of $5 mil in memory of her late father. The Paulson’s gift enabled the hospital to nearly double the size of its existing Emergency Department, which cares for more than 25,000 patients annually.
