Medical professionals retired their white coats and stethoscopes in favor of tuxes and gowns for the New York-Presbyterian Hospital gala at the Waldorf. This annual fete honored physicians, nurses, and staff of the Emergency Medicine Department, and generated $2.8 mil to aid around-the-clock care of 230,000 patients.
Hospital directors Dr. Neal Flomenbaum (NYP-Weill Cornell) and James Giglio (NYP-Columbia) were recognized for their outstanding dedication and hard work. Dr. Herbert Pardes, president and CEO of New York Presbyterian, hosted the evening, along with chairs Daniel Och, Arthur
Samburg, and Sy Sternberg.
The evening finished with the crowd gyrating to a special performance
by the legendary Stevie Nicks.
