It’s a rare occasion to find Rockefeller Center transformed into a Parisian boulevard packed with the unmatched style and cuisine of France’s finest masters, but that’s exactly what occurred at Citymeals-on-Wheels’ Crème de la Crème Chefs Tribute gala fundraiser. Chairs Susie and Kevin Davis, Ninah and Michael Lynne (also co-sponsors), and Laura and John Pomerantz flew in a dozen of France’s gastronomic culinary legends, as the American superstar chefs they once mentored paid tribute to each by preparing one of the masters’ classics and signature dish of their own.
Talk about the heat in the kitchen!

The crowd of more than 1,100 joined in the feast in the outdoor plaza. Celebrated architect and set designer David Rockwell and his team outfitted the lush gardens and rink, as live music filled the upper and lower levels, and the can-can themed “Ooh La La” bar hummed all night long.

The event raised $900,000 for providing home-delivered meals to the elderly in New York City. Tres Bien!
