At the annual Box Art Auction, held at the Ross School Center for Well-Being, over 400 guests hobnobbed while tipping back cocktails and contemplating the more than 100 works of art created by an array of artists, from Honorary Chairs Eric Fischl and April Gornik to Will Barnet and Donald Lipski. A simple cigar box was the assigned medium, and there were many creative visions. The funds raised from the "cigar art" benefited the East End Hospice, which provides care for terminally ill patients. At the artsy scene: Edward Albee, Arlene Alda, Alec Baldwin, Anne Jackson and Eli Wallach, Peter Boyle, East Hampton Town Super-visor William McGintee, Sheldon Harnick, and Mary Anne and Kevin Mulve.
