Alicia Keys, Russell Simmons

Music-industry magnates eagerly filled the East Hampton home of Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons for the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation's "Art for Life" benefit. The annual garden party, produced by Sutka Productions International and held inside an elegantly lit tent, supports and benefits more than 70 NYC youth organizations. Those honored for their social contributions towards the battle against AIDS included: Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, Alicia Keys, M·A·C President John Demsey, and Pratt Institute President Dr. Thomas Schutte. Celebs on the scene: Ellen Barkin, who arrived in style with Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorthea; Gabriel Byrne; Usher; and Diddy (formerly known as P. Diddy). Toys "R" Us Children's Fund Chair Michael Goldstein supported the cause by purchasing a tennis lesson for $11,000-from Serena Williams! Also seen mixing it up: Vivica Fox, Cynthia Nixon, Gayle King, Janice Combs, Mos Def, Donny Deutsch, Joey "Rev. Run" Simmons, Star Jones Reynolds and Al Reynolds, Samantha Cole, Kim Porter, and Lyor Cohen.
