Despite the torrential downpour outside the DGA Theater, The Ten’s cast, including Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, Winona Ryder, and Gretchen Mol, along with writer Ken Marino, were all aglow about their film.
The fun continued inside as we sat back to watch the film next to Marino and Ryder, who joined the audience’s laughter at this edgy take on the Ten Commandments. Executive producer Sam Zietz told us, “I let my rabbi read the script, and he said, ‘It’s okay, Sam, you can produce it.’ ”
We never heard “Thou shalt not party,” so we joined the crew and celeb guests including Chris Meloni, Melissa Hill, and ThinkFilm’s Alex Klenert for the afterparty at downtown club Avalon. Everyone enjoyed the sushi and mango shrimp catered by Shawn Jones, and an endless flow of Saaga vodka. We mingled with actors Joe Lo Truglio and Bobby Cannavale, who told us they had a blast filming this movie.
