The Cinema Society and The Wall Street Journal hosted a private screening and party for Miramax’s Becoming Jane. Film starlet Anne Hathaway was aglow in all white on the red carpet.

The night was still young as guests headed to the East Hampton oceanfront home of Jerry Della Femina and Judy Licht for a glamorous afterparty, where Hathaway told us, “It wasn’t easy balancing the character I was portraying with the actual character of Jane Austen.” And she admitted: “I never like to watch my own movies!” She actually went out to dinner with boyfriend Raffaello Follieri while the movie was playing!

Guests Marty Richards, Dr. Neil Sadick, Heather Graham and Charles Ferri, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky, Donna Karan, Spencer Morgan, Cinema Society founder Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict, Richard Johnson and Sessa von Richthofen, PR guru David Granoff, Rachel Zoe, and Julia Stiles enjoyed a traditional poolside buffet. After dinner many guests gathered around a bonfire on the beach, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores under a starry sky illuminated by a glorious full moon.
