The Hayground School in Bridgehampton hosted the American Heart Association’s 11th annual Heart of the Hamptons Gala. The elegant event honored Dr. Wayne Isom of Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Pete Peterson of The Blackstone Group and Joan Ganz Cooney, founder of Children’s Television Workshop, now known as Sesame Workshop, with an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing, and a live and silent auction. The National Double Dutch League and the Long Island Gymnasts performed, helping the AHA raise nearly $500,000. Among the heartfelt guests: event chair and CEO of Park Avenue Mortgage Ellen Bitton, Jane Holzer, Iris Frommer, and Patricia Fitzpatrick.
