B udget was not an operative word at the glittering, over-the-top wedding reception at Chelsea Piers for stand-up comic/actress Daniella Rich and British lawyer/real estate investor Richard Kilstock. The couple had previously said their "I Do's" last August at a small ceremony before 40 guests at a coastal estate in Marbella, Spain, owned by the bride's father, financier Marc Rich (remember the Clinton Pardongate fiasco?).
Mother-of-the-bride singer/songwriter and hostess extraordinaire Denise Rich (in Christian LaCroix) welcomed 500 of her-and the newlyweds'-closest friends to a sumptuous dinner, followed by entry into a 70s-style disco (complete with go-go cages and disco balls). The couple's first dance, "Love, Need, and Want You," was performed by none other than Patti LaBelle!
Later, disco diva Gloria Gaynor belted out every reception's timeless hit, "I Will Survive." In the gyrating mix were: Joan Collins and Percy Gibson, Lorraine Bracco, Marthe Keller, Clive Davis, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Ivana Trump (who will soon host a FOX two-hour reality-show special, Ivana Young Man, in which she helps a mature woman select her younger man… not to mention Ivana's younger beau, Rossano Rubicondi, who was her escort for the evening), Rita Cosby, Marty Richards, Natalie Cole, Marisa Berenson, Star Jones, Samantha Bass, Dana Hammond Stubgen, Samantha Boardman and Aby Rosen, Queer Eye's Thom Filicia, Cynthia and Tony Maltese, Lois (Mrs. Buzz) Aldrin, and Nicky Hilton's hubby-of-a-minute-and-a-half (six weeks to be exact), Todd Meister, who partied the night away without his recently estranged bride. Ah, young love!
