Lola Astanova was as grand as the piano she played at the Palm Beach Symphony’s Palm Beach Rhapsody gala fundraising concert. Chairs Melania and Donald Trump welcomed the classical virtuoso to Mar-a-Lago, along with conductor Jahja Ling and tenor Thiago Arancam, who made his Palm Beach debut.

The program included Astanova’s performance of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, as well as Rachmaninoff ’s Piano Concerto No. 3, arias from Tosca and Pagliacci, and the grand fi nale, Gershwin’s An American in Paris.

The event, generously underwritten by Patrick Park and the Park Foundation and presented by Ulysse Nardin, attracted an audience of Palm Beach’s most affl uent and au courant music afi cionados in support of the Palm Beach Symphony Society.
